Terms of Service

By using Notalo (notalo.xyz) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What Notalo does
Notalo is an automated tool. You upload an image or PDF of sheet music; it detects noteheads and returns the same score with note names added, and optionally a simple MIDI file of the detected pitches. Processing is automatic — no person looks at your files.
2. Your files and your responsibility
- Upload only sheet music you own, have permission to use, or that is in the public domain (for example most classical works whose composer died more than 70 years ago). You are responsible for having the necessary rights to the material you upload.
- The output is for your own personal study and practice. Do not use Notalo to produce copies for distribution or sale.
- You keep all rights to the files you upload. We claim none.
3. What we do with your files
Uploads are processed and then deleted automatically — immediately after processing, or at the latest about 30 minutes later (results are kept briefly so you can also download the MIDI). We do not store, index, share, or train models on your files. See the Privacy Policy.
4. Accuracy — no guarantee
Note detection is automatic and can be wrong, especially on blurry photos, hand-written scores, faint or smudged prints, and dense passages. Always check the result against the original. The practice MIDI plays detected pitches in order with equal note lengths; it does not reproduce rhythm. Notalo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
5. Acceptable use
Do not upload material you have no right to use, attempt to overload or attack the service, scrape it, or use it in a way that breaks the law. We may limit or block access that we believe abuses the service.
6. Advertising and accounts
Notalo is free and funded by advertising (Google AdSense). An account is optional; if you create one, keep your password safe and tell us if you want it deleted.
7. Copyright complaints
If you believe Notalo has been used to infringe your rights, email [email protected] with the details. Because we do not store files or results, there is usually nothing to take down, but we will respond and act on what we can.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Notalo is not liable for losses arising from use of the service, including from inaccurate results or from material you upload without the right to do so.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

1. Notalo가 하는 일
Notalo는 자동화된 도구입니다. 악보 이미지나 PDF를 올리면 음표머리를 인식해 같은 악보에 계이름을 붙여 돌려주고, 원하면 인식한 음높이로 간단한 MIDI 파일을 만들어 줍니다. 처리는 전부 자동이며 사람이 파일을 보지 않습니다.
2. 파일과 이용자의 책임
- 본인이 권리를 가진 악보, 이용 허락을 받은 악보, 또는 자유롭게 이용 가능한 악보(작곡가 사후 70년이 지난 대부분의 클래식 등)만 올리세요. 올린 자료에 대한 권리는 이용자가 책임집니다.
- 결과물은 본인의 학습·연습 용도로만 사용하세요. 배포·판매용 복제물을 만드는 데 쓰지 마세요.
- 올린 파일의 권리는 이용자에게 그대로 있습니다. Notalo는 어떤 권리도 주장하지 않습니다.
3. 파일 처리
업로드한 파일은 처리 직후, 늦어도 약 30분 안에 자동 삭제됩니다(MIDI도 내려받을 수 있도록 결과를 잠시 보관). 저장·색인·공유·모델 학습에 사용하지 않습니다. 자세한 내용은 개인정보 처리방침을 보세요.
4. 정확도 — 보증하지 않음
음표 인식은 자동이며 틀릴 수 있습니다. 특히 흐린 사진, 손글씨 악보, 옅거나 번진 인쇄, 빽빽한 구간에서 오류가 납니다. 결과는 반드시 원본과 대조하세요. 연습용 MIDI는 인식한 음을 같은 길이로 순서대로 재생할 뿐 리듬을 재현하지 않습니다. Notalo는 어떠한 보증 없이 "있는 그대로" 제공됩니다.
5. 금지 행위
권리가 없는 자료의 업로드, 서비스에 과부하를 주거나 공격하는 행위, 자동 수집(스크래핑), 법을 위반하는 이용을 금지합니다. 남용으로 판단되는 접근은 제한하거나 차단할 수 있습니다.
6. 광고와 계정
Notalo는 무료이며 광고(Google AdSense)로 운영됩니다. 계정은 선택 사항이며, 만들었다면 비밀번호를 안전하게 관리하고 삭제를 원하면 알려주세요.
7. 권리 침해 신고
Notalo가 귀하의 권리를 침해하는 데 쓰였다고 판단되면 [email protected]로 내용을 보내주세요. 파일과 결과를 저장하지 않아 삭제할 대상이 없는 경우가 대부분이지만, 답변드리고 가능한 조치를 취하겠습니다.
8. 책임의 한계
법이 허용하는 범위에서, 부정확한 결과나 권리 없이 올린 자료로 인해 발생한 손해를 포함해 서비스 이용으로 생긴 손해에 대해 Notalo는 책임지지 않습니다.
9. 변경
약관은 변경될 수 있으며 위 시행일이 갱신됩니다. 변경 후 계속 이용하면 새 약관에 동의한 것으로 봅니다.
